So! Third chapter of Ascendancy. Won some rolls, lost some rolls, and enjoyed myself nonetheless. I just have to remember that in the future, I need to issue a disclaimer before swamping him with walls of text and go with 45-second intervals or so. :) Ultimately, I had fun, and I'm pretty sure our conquering hero did too. :)
This is a quickie interlude that was set down so some numbers and information could be exchanged. And, of course, a little more character fleshing out. I have to say that I just adore Jaron. Him and his Lore 0 work awesome. Of course, Tek's not much better, but she's paid a little bit of attention to what Menace and Wings have been saying... ;)
Another Katya story in the quest for more Conviction. We need it badly, after all. So here's the next one. She really has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Though if you asked Katya while she was in one of her bitter moods, it would be being in the wrong place in the wrong time... and that is not a good trait for any Hunter.
We have a wall-to-wall bookshelf in the dining room that is about five feet tall. It's huge. It's a mess at the best of times. It's been in place for over 10 years, and not once have we ever cleaned behind it.
Until I went looking for the necklace I was panicking about in this post.
This thing took me about five hours to clean, from taking everything off of it, pulling it out, cleaning behind it, renailing the back back on, putting it back in place, and putting EVERYTHING back on it.
I did find the necklace - it's a pretty silver and turquoise thing I made for my aunt. Definitely not something I think I could have remade, even if I got the materials again.
Okay. Last month, I made a necklace for my dad's sister.
And I cannot find it. %$@^$. I have checked behind the book case, just in case it fell there. It had not. Aaaaargh. I've checked my computer desk, not there. I've torn my room apart. Not there. Checked the beading boxes. It's not there. I'm gonna check in the living room next and try by the couch, just in case it fell.
Because we seriously need Edict for the finale, I have committed myself to writing five Interludes for Katya and her great big story to be released to the wind. Katya is cynical, however, and won't necessarily leave it just to the wind. She'll upload it to a million sites and message boards, and leave copies out for everyone else to look at, and pray that the Heralds do something with it to spread the word.
But onwards with the first Interlude-for-Conviction.
Yes, alas, another Harmony story. Like I said, I have a ton of these on the back burner for her. And I do mean tons. Then there's plenty for my other characters, but Harmony is where I am seriously behind. And every little precious XP counts, for they must be spent on loverly shinies.
So, our last Changeling chapter featured Eton the Eshu and Harmony the Satyr visiting Prince Murdoch in an attempt to garner support against Baroness Mahaana ap Balor and to help rescue Alena. This is a little interlude that takes place after the dinner with Murdoch, Cissy, Eton, and Langolier.
